Biography
Prof. Dr. İpek TÜRKTAŞ, lisans öncesi eğitimlerini tamamlamasının ardından Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde başlamış olduğu tıp eğitimini tamamlayarak tıp doktoru unvanı almıştır. Dr. Sami Ulus Çocuk Hastanesi'nde asistan ve başasistanlık görevlerini yapmıştır.
Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde Alerji yan dal ihtisas eğitimini tamamlamasının ardından Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır.
Şu anda da aynı üniversitenin Çocuk Alerji ve İmmünoloji Bilim Dalı'nda Profesör Doktor olarak mesleki çalışmalarına devam etmekte olan Prof. Dr. İpek TÜRKTAŞ, aynı zamanda 2005 yılından beri Çankaya'da bulunan özel muayenehanesinde de çocuk alerji ve astım hastalarına hizmet vermektedir.

Ben boğaziçi üniversitesinde okuyorum. Ankaraya yolum düştü. Bu vesile ile ipek hocamada uğradım. Kendimi bildim bileli hastaydım. Çocukluğum egzama, kaşıntı ve öksürmekle geçiyordu. Bir sürü hastane ve ünlü doktorları dolaşmıştık.
Ancak ben hep aynıydım. Bir gün ipek hocama tavsiye üzerine gittik. Onun kontrolünde hayatım değişti. Doktorlardan, acil servis ve hastanelere koşmaktan kurtuldum. Şimdide çok iyiyim. Spor yapıyorum. İpek hocama minnettarım. Sağolsun, varolsun.
