Şahap ATİK, tıp eğitimini ve ihtisasını Hacettepe Üniversitesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Bölümü’nde tamamlamıştır.
Michigan State University’de “fellow” olarak görev yapmış olup çok kez Amerika Birleşik Devletleri , Avrupa Birliği ve Uzak Doğu ülkelerinde hastanelerde çalışmıştır.
Artroplasti ve artroskopik cerrahi, lazer, kıkırdak, osteoartrit, osteoporoz konularında eğitim almış ve toplantılara katılmıştır.
